A $1000 cleaning fee applies if smoke contamination occurs during your stay.
As we are in a quiet country area, noise travels easily. Therefore we ask that loud music and excessive noise be kept to a minimum.
Dumaresq Homestead offers a wireless Telstra phone and internet service through a Cel-Fi Smart repeater. To access this service you need to be a Telstra customer or simply purchase a prepaid Telstra sim card for use in your phone during your stay, before you arrive. Reception may vary away from the house due to the terrain and reception ability of varying phone models. Unfortunately at the present time, other communication carriers are not available due to their network limitations.
Dumaresq Homestead is located in a remote rural setting and as such snakes are occasionally seen. We keep the area in and around the homestead clean and mown to limit unwanted visitors. We will advise you about what to do if you see a snake and assist you should this occur.
Should it be required, there is a full first aid kit located at the property.

During May, June, July, August and September we provide firewood and fire starter cubes for the outside fire pit, dependent on fire risk conditions issued by the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service.
Firewood and fire starter cubes are supplied for inside use during June, July and August and other times if it is cold enough.
Dumaresq Homestead is fully equipped with central heating and cooling which is ducted throughout the entire house.
As we aim to be an environmentally sustainable farm the air conditioning thermostat is pre set at 24 degrees to facilitate this. We ask that when the natural air temperature is around this mark, guests help the environment by opening the doors and enjoying the beautiful country breezes we enjoy in the Dumaresq valley.
Horse riding is encouraged on the property - you will need to bring your own horses and tack etc. Disclaimer waivers need to be signed by each riding member due to insurance requirements. We will provide our own farm grown lucerne hay for you which is included in your tariff. We have covered yards available for your use including tack room, wash down bay and day yards. You will be given maps and the freedom to explore over 9000 acres of varying terrain.
Cleaning up after yourselves is really all that we expect. Please leave the dishes done, any spills wiped up, sinks and benches wiped, the fridge wiped out, BBQ clean, rubbish in the bins provided, toilets acceptable. We don't expect you to clean windows, mop the house or do a thorough vacuum, and we don't want you to strip your beds. We simply ask that you be respectful of the property, your hosts and future guests. Thank you.
